Where It Gets Serious

The Warriors program at Somerset is built for school-age children ages 7 to 9 — the stage where martial arts training gets serious, and seriously fun. Your child develops advanced technique, spars with control, works through forms, and earns rank on a structured path toward black belt.

This is also where leadership begins. The strongest Warriors step onto the junior coach track — giving back to the younger mats and learning that real strength means lifting others up.

Good Questions

Before You Book

What ages is the Warriors program for?+

Warriors is our flagship program for children ages 7 to 9. It is where martial arts training gets serious — advanced technique, sparring, forms, and the leadership skills that define a true Warrior.

How does the free intro class work?+

Your free intro at Somerset is a private one-on-one with a Warrior coach — not a group shadow. About 45 minutes: a studio tour, a real Warriors class adapted to one student, a board break, and an honest conversation about whether it’s the right fit for your child.

Does my child need experience to start Warriors?+

No. Children join Warriors from white belt and from other programs alike. Our coaches meet your child exactly where they are and build from there — all equipment is provided for the first class.

Is the Somerset studio open yet?+

Yes — our Somerset studio at 34 Worlds Fair Drive, Building 1G is now open and enrolling founding families. This is the same coaching team behind Warrior’s #1-voted South Plainfield studio, now serving Somerset, Franklin Township, and New Brunswick.
